Thai PM Yingluck Shinawatra arrives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Thailand Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra arrived here on Tuesday on a two-day official visit to promote bilateral relations.

Minister of IT Anusha Rehman recieved the visiting prime minister at Noor Khan Airbase. She was presented a guard of honor on arrival.

This bilateral visit of the Thai Prime Minister on the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, takes place after more than a decade.

Previously Dr. Thaksin Shinawatra, brother of Prime Minister Yingluck visited Pakistan in July 2002.

The Thai Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising cabinet ministers and senior officials and businessmen.

During her two-day visit to Pakistan she will meet President, hold official talks with the Prime Minister who will also host a banquet.

A signing of Agreement/MoUs will also be held during her visit.

The accompanying business delegation of Prime Minister Yingluck will hold separate meetings with their counterparts and prospective business partners.
