KHAIRPUR: PML-N Sindh chief and former Sindh Chief Minister Ghous Ali Shah resigned from the party post on Friday, media reports.
According to reports, Shah was reportedly upset over being overlooked by the leadership for the position of country’s president.
The PML-N had nominated former Sindh governor Mamnoon Hussain as party’s candidate for presidential elections. Hussain was later elected as President with a clear majority
The veteran politician met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif last week and expressed his apprehensions.
According to sources, more PML-N office bearers in Sindh may also quit the party after Shah’s resignation.
