KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon Thursday said that the provincial government is not carrying out any crackdown against any party in Karachi.
Sharjeel Memon, in a statement, said that police and Rangers will take action if they receive information about the presence of terrorists anywhere in the city.
He said that all the law enforcement agencies, including police, and Rangers, already have free hand for targeted operations against terrorists.
The provincial minister clarified that the government is not taking into custody any lawmakers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
He rejected MQM’s allegations against the PPP and the provincial government regarding law enforcement agencies’ actions, and said targeted action against terrorists and target killers will continue.
