KARACHI: Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry expressed unhappiness over the closure of one of the main roads in Karachi, asking the authorities as to why they have created ‘official no-go areas’, media reports on Wednesday.
During the hearing of the Karachi law and order implementation case at the Karachi Registry, Justice Athar Saeed raised the question over the closure of a portion of the Dr Ziauddin Ahmed from Clifton Bridge to up to Sheraton Hotel in front of the Chief Minister House.
He said that the people had to suffer immensely due to the closure.
IG Sindh informed the court that the CM House Road would be reopened immediately.
The CJ said that it is not right and proper way to open roads after raising questions by the judges.
