LAHORE: High floods have been recorded at Punjnad in river Chenab and at Sadhnai in Ravi, while at Punjnad Jagir Sadiqabad water swept away multiple villages and vast acres of standing crops after breaching the bund.
The meteorological department has forecast a high flood to hit Guddu.
Meanwhile the irrigation department adds, that the Jagir Sadiqabad bund was breached owing to a high tide in river Chenab at Head Punjnad in Uch Sharif inundating multiple villages and washing away standing crops on several acres of land.
The Flood Forecasting Cell said, that water level in Tarbela Dam has swelled up to 1550 feet and water inflow was recorded at 2,14,400 cusecs, while discharge stands at 2,13,800 cusecs. The water level in Mangla Dam was recorded at 1233.30 feet, while water inflow stands at 39,321 cusecs and discharge at 10,000 cusecs.
