LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday took notice of rigging claims by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Punjab Assembly constituency PP-150 and summoned all rival candidates on August 28.
Accused the PML-N of tampering with election results, the PTI submitted an application for vote recount. But its request was rejected by the returning officer.
On this, PTI supporters and leaders staged a sit-in on Mall Road near Punjab Assembly.
PTI says that it would exercise its democratic party to stage protests against the rigging.
