ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Monday that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) should not have boycotted the presidential election.
Addressing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentary party meeting here, Nawaz Sharif said “the PPP will realize its mistake of boycotting the presidential elections in the future.”
The meeting also endorsed nomination of Mamnoon Hussain as the presidential candidate.
PM Nawaz said Mamnoon Hussain was very loyal to the party and his nomination would be proven satisfactory.
Member National Assembly (MNA) Jamshed Dasti, who had announced to support PML-N candidate in the presidential polls, also attended the party’s parliamentary meeting.
