ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imaran Khan has been issued a contempt of court notice by the Supreme Court and summoned on August 2.
The notice was taken on a note written by the Supreme Court Registrar under article 204 section 3 of the constitution.
Khan has been accused of scandalizing the judiciary and spreading hatred against judges during a news conferences on 26 July. During the new conference, Khan had been critical of the decision to change the election schedule.
The apex court has also issued a notice to Attorney General Munir A Malik to appear on August 2.
