KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has hailed the address of President Asif Ali Zardari to the joint sitting of the Parliament on Monday.
In a statement here on Monday, he said that this augurs well for the cause of democracy in the country.
Qaim Ali Shah said that the President has created history by addressing the joint sitting of the Parliament for the 6th time.
He further pointed that President Zardari has ably performed his duties as the head of the state.
Chief Minister said that President Zardari voluntarily returned his powers to the Parliament which strengthened the democracy in the country.
Now no one can dare derail the process of democracy in the country, he added.
Qaim Ali Shah said that the President’s advice that all political forces should jointly move ahead for meeting the challenges being faced by the country is also the need of the hour.
He further pointed out that the politics of reconciliation would help foster the democracy in the country.
