Nisar briefs federal cabinet over Gilgit incident

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister briefed the meeting here on Monday in which the federal cabinet has condemned foreign tourists’ killing in Gilgit, media reported.

According to the sources, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan briefed the cabinet meeting that efforts were being made to nab the killers.

He said there are reports that terrorists approached the tourist camp through a guide who provided them necessary information. Nisar informed the cabinet that one of the guides and a tourist are being interrogated.

In his opening remarks at the cabinet meeting‚ the PM said the attack on tourists was the worst act of terrorism against national sovereignty.
