ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafiq Butt attended the concluding session of the Army War Games (Exercise AZM-E-NAU 4), which began at the National Defence University, Islamabad, on June 3, 2013, said media report.
He addressed to the participants of the concluding session of military war games, the Exercise Azm-i-Nau-4, at the National Defence University, he said the army in coordination with the navy and air force was fully configured and prepared to thwart any aggression against the country.
Gen Kayani said, “Military success depends on being fully prepared and the support of the people of Pakistan and other state institutions.”
He appreciated the dedication and commitment of participants of the war games and said their contribution to the exercise was of immense professional value.
Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafiq Butt also attended the ceremony, besides a large number of senior officers of the army, navy and air force.
During the war games spanning over two weeks, strategic and operational plans were crystallised and validated for developing a comprehensive response. Operational plans of the PAF were also finalised in close coordination with the army.

The game was the culmination of a series of such exercises, which have cumulatively contributed towards operational preparedness to meet the evolving threat.
At the end, he vowed to defeat any aggression against Pakistani nation.
