Karachi: ATC to announce decision in Shahzeb murder case today

KARACHI: Karachi anti-terrorism court (ATC) will announce its decision in the Shahzeb murder case at 12 pm on Friday.

ATC judge Ghulam Mustafa Memon did hearing of the case.

According to the case details, twenty-year-old Shahzeb Khan was gunned down on the night on the night of December 24, 2012 when he was returning home along with his sister after attending a wedding. Shahzeb, son of a DSP, was murdered reportedly after he broke into a serious arguments with one of the suspects’ servant who had allegedly given verbal threats to the victim’s sister.

Shahrukh Jatoi, Nawab Siraj Ali Talpur, his younger brother Nawab Sajjad Ali Talpur and their house servant Ghulam Murtaza Lashari were charged with killing Shahzeb in the city’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

Supreme Court of Pakistan also took a suo motu notice of the murder.
