MULTAN: President Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) Mukhdoom Javed Hashmi on Sunday withdrew his statement recently made in the parliament in which he had termed Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as his leader.
Addressing a press conference at his residence, he said that media had not properly reported his speech and highlighted few extracts without context.
He said, “My family and the people of my constituency had reservation over my statement and I did not want to see them especially youngsters angry, who extended matchless support to me during the election campaign.”
He stated that the people of his constituency had the right to criticize him over his speech.
He also stated that he was no more a man of revolt. He, however, added that he was a democratic person and had respect for Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.
Mukhdoom Javed Hashmi praising the leadership of PTI Chairman Imran Khan termed him “a legend,” who brought big change in country’s political culture.
About creation of provinces in the country, Javed Hashmi supported more provinces in the country in order to resolve public problems and bring massive development.
