Govt to introduce transparent accountability system: Malik

ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that his government would ensure transparent accountability to remove corruption in the province.

The performance of levies and police would be improved to check law and order situation in Balochistan, he added.

Talking to a private TV channel, Abdul Malik urged the government to bring all stakeholders on the same page to resolve the Balochistan issues.

With the cooperation of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif,  his provincial government would tackle the mulch-dimensional issues including target killing, religious fundamentalism and mutilated bodies for maintaining peace and tranquility, he said.

He said a number of people belong to different sects of society had lost their lives in terrorist activities.

He said that new provincial government would take steps to reduce poverty from the province, adding that health, drinking water, education and employment would be ensured for the people.

The CM admitted that some indigenous elements were involved in creating unrest in Balochistan.

He stressed the need to control law and order situation to attract investment in the province. His government would stop the use of secret funds, he said.

He was of the view that former president Pervez Musharaf should be tackled according to the law of land as no one was above the law.

He assured that government would ensure the security of people, adding that steps would also be taken to protect provincial resources.

He said that a policy would be introduced to analyze the government performance quarterly to ensure transparency in the system.
