Bugti murder case: ATC rejects Musharraf’s bail plea

QUETTA: Former president, Pervez Musharraf’s bail plea has been rejected by the Anti-Terrorism Court, Quetta in Akbar Bugti murder case on Tuesday.

Yesterday, the court during hearing also issued non-bailable arrest warrants against former President Pervez Musharraf‚ former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz‚ former Governor Balochistan Owais Ghani and former DCO Dera Bugti Abdul Samad Lasi.

In today’s hearing, ATC judge Mohammad Ismail Baloch rejected Musharraf’s bail request. He also rejected Musharraf’s plea to shift the case before the ATC in Islamabad.

The anti-terrorism court is scheduled to announce its detailed judgment later in the day.

According to the report, Bugti was killed in a cave in Chalgri area of Bhamboor hills of Dera Bugti district on August 26, 2006 during a military crackdown ordered by Musharraf who was president and army chief at the time.
