Indian spy Sarabjit Singh attacked by prisoners in Kot Lakhpat jail Lahore


LAHORE: Indian spy Sarabjit Singh was attacked by his fellow five prisoners at Kot Lakhpat jail, Aaj news reported.

According to reports, Sarabjit singh was shifted to Jinnah hospital Lahore after this incident.

The prisoners in the jail attacked him with a heavy brick hitting on his head over some arguments. However, the investigation is still in process.

Sarabjit Singh received serious head injuries and he is still in a critical condition, said the doctors.

Sarabjit singh, who was convicted for alleged involvement in a string of bomb attacks in Lahore and Faisalabad in 1990. He was awarded the death sentence in 1991.

According to the Office spokesman the prison authorities, the interior ministry and Punjab home department are jointly investigating the incident. The Indian high commission’s request access to Indian spy is being processed.
