‘All parties conference’ in Karachi

KARACHI: The interim government of Sindh is holding an all parties conference on Tuesday, for the resolution of growing security concerns and discussion over the right code of conduct for coming elections.

The rendezvous is comprising of twenty one political parties and three observers.

The conference would decide over the implementation of the code of conduct and seek measures from political leaders for conducting the election campaign in a peaceful environment and to ensure holding of free, fair and transparent elections in an impartial manner.

APC is being headed by the interim Chief Minister retired Justice Zahid Kurban Alavi. The meeting was scheduled in the New Sindh Secretariat at 10.30am.

Parties present in APC are The Pakistan Peoples Party, Muttahida Qaumi Movement, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf, Jamaat-i-Islami, Awami National Party, PML-N, PML-Q, PML-Functional, PPP-Shaheed Bhutto, Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi), Sunni Tehrik, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl), Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan, Pukhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Sindh United Party, Majlis Wahadat Muslimeen, Muttahida Deeni Mahaz, All Pakistan Muslim League, Awami Tehreek, Sindh Taraqi-passand Party and Qaumi Tehrik.
