KARACHI: The chief ministers of all the four provinces have decided with consensus to dissolve provincial assemblies on March 19.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the chief ministers in the federal capital on Saturday.
This was stated by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah at a dinner reception, said a handout issued from CM House.
The dinner was hosted in the honour of the Chief Minister and Sindh Cabinet members by Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas at the CM House on the completion of the five-year tenure of the Sindh government.
The Chief Minister said the present elected Sindh government is completing its constitutional five-year term. However, he said chief ministers of the four provinces in a meeting in Islamabad on Saturday decided with consensus to dissolve assemblies on March 19.
Qaim Ali Shah thanked administrative machinery and all the officers of the provincial government for extending full cooperation to the provincial government and the cabinet.
The Chief Minister said Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had presented a historic five-point manifesto, which focused on education, employment, energy, environment etc.
He said the provincial government worked with dedication for the welfare of public.
