PPP vows to enhance BISP amount if voted to power

MULTAN: Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will enhance Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) amount from Rs 1,000 to 2,000 if voted to power.

Addressing the party workers on Saturday late night, he said the Benazir Income Support Programme was benefiting millions of poor families, adding that BISP amount would be increased if PPP come into power again.

He claimed that PPP would win the upcoming polls as it provided maximum relief to poor families. He maintained that PPP was guardians of the labourers and farmers rights.

NA-151 was stronghold of Pakistan People’s Party, he said and added that PPP would launch its campaign on April 8 from Rahim Yar Khan.

Syed Abdul Qadir Gilani speaking on the occasion said the PPP always did politics of services of masses instead of politics of police station culture. He also claimed that PPP would defeat opponents with heavy margin.

Syed Ali Musa Gilani, Aamir Dogar and hundreds of workers were also present.
