ISLAMABAD: A large number of people from the twin cities thronged the Pak-China Business Forum being held at the Pak-China Friendship Centre on Sunday.
The event was organised by the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) and the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI).
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Special Secretary Noor Muhammad Jadmani inaugurated the event and said that promoting and facilitating economic progress in developing countries through transfer of technology and diffusion of knowledge was very important for South Asia.
Li Zhou from China proposed many business programmes of mutual interest between the two countries.
“Promoting and supporting greater efforts to develop renewable sources of energy and implement policies at national and international level is of vital importance,” he added.
CIIT Rector Dr SM Junaid Zaidi proposed the establishment of a technology park with coordination between ICCI and the CIIT to provide a platform to the Chinese and Pakistani business communities to promote mutual trade activities.
Board of Investment (BoI) Executive Director General Imran Cheema shared BoI’s vision on Pak-China cooperation for business and trade development.
