Normalcy returns to Karachi after a day’s mourning and burials


KARACHI: Life restores in the commercial center of the country, as schools and businesses re-open after a wave of terrorism that took 48 lives in Abbas Town and left more than hundreds injured.

Until Monday’s eve, Karachi lingered mourning victims of the Sunday’s blast that spread fear in the whole city. Public transport was almost non-existent.

Clashes occurred on Monday evening, even after burial of the victims when armed men opened fire at those who returned from the funeral procession.

Several vehicles were torched down. Media men and rangers also came under attack. Apparently, 2 people were killed and several injured.
