Jamshed Dasti knocks SC’s door over his fake degree


ISLAMABAD: Irked MNA of Pakistan People Party’s (PPP) Jamshed Ahmed Khan Dasti has decided to file a petition in Supreme court after being examined in Fake degree case.

Dasti in his petition stated that “Why ECP acquiring about him while many of the other parliamentarians were given green signal despite having fake degrees.

In a press release earlier, ECP has given details about 27 parliamentarians. Two parliamentarians who resigned were given clean chit by former CEC on 15th January, 2011, whereas the four members were inducted in office by administering oath to them on 13th June, 2011.

Jamshed Dasti was issued a fresh notice this month anh he was summoned for it on 13th March (today).

Moreover, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) stated that all cases regarding fake/unverified degrees would be disposed of before March 16 and letters have been sent to courts for quick completion of fake degree cases still pending with them.

It is to mention here that more than 26 fake degree cases are still in the process of hearing under district and sessions judges.
