ASWJ leader, eight others killed in Karachi


KARACHI: Alteast nine people including a leader of Ahle Sunnah wal Jamaat were shot dead in the provincial capital on Saturday, reported Aaj news.

Police sources confirmed the deaths saying that most of the incidents were related to the targeted killings in the city.

According to ASWJ spokesperson, The party’s unit president Mufti Nadeem Muavia, was shot dead by unknown miscreants in Shah Faisal Colony Green Town, later his body was shifted to the Jinnah hospital.

Separately, Three people were gunned down and one person was injured in during firing in the city’s Orangi Town. The assailants managed to flee the scene and the bodies and the injured were shifted to a hospital.

In another incident, Two persons were also shot dead in Moach Goth area. While a person standing at a bus stop was killed by unknown bikers.

A body was found in a bag near Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town. The body has not yet been identified.
