KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari instructed the Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to take immediate steps to rehabilitate the victims of Abbas Town blasts and provide them with apartments.
Zardari held a meeting with the Chief Minister, provincial ministers, Chief Secretary of Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas and other concerned officials at the Chief Minister House in Karachi on Friday and asked them to start relief efforts right away. Earlier, he also met Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad at Governor House here.
Regarding the construction and allotment of apartments, the Sindh government was instructed that the relatives of the deceased should be preferred over other victims.
The President directed the Sindh government to provide the best treatment facilities to those injured in Abbas Town blast.
Earlier on March 7, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah rejected the notion that government officials and police were busy at a dinner rather than tending to victims of the twin bombings in Abbas Town.
