Aftab Sultan appointed as new IG Punjab

LAHORE: Aftab Sultan, a senior officer of grade 22, has been appointed as Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab by the federal government.
According to notification issued here on Friday, Sultan, who was serving as Commandant at National Police Academy (NPA) Islamabad, has been appointed as new IGP of Punjab.Sultan — who resigned as RPO Sargodha in former president Pervez Musharraf’s tenure over differences regarding the referendum — is considered as professional and honest police officer.
