11 prisoners handed over to Indian authorities

LAHORE: Pakistan Rangers here Friday, handed over eleven Indian prisoners including seven fishermen, to Indian authorities at Wagah border.

Seven fishermen were released on Thursday from a jail in Karachi and sent by a bus to Lahore, while remaining four others were released from Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore, Rangers sources said.

The Indians were released as they had completed their prison terms. The fishermen were arrested on the charges of violating Pakistan’s maritime boundary.
