Kidnapped boy recovered


LAHORE: Gujranwala police claimed to have recovered eleven years old boy soon after he was abducted by car riders for ransom Rs 2 million.

Police said, four car riders had abducted Hamza Manzoor, alongwith his uncle Abdul Razaq was going to school on a motorcycle at Peerda Kot Kalianwala.

On tip off, Hafizabad police set up a picket near Motorway Interchange Kot Abdul Maalik and started the checking of vechilces. As soon as, the suspected car (LEH-9456) reached there, the police arrested two accused identified as Yasar and Nadeem and recovered the boy safe and sound.

Meanwhile, Bahawalpur police have killed three proclaimed offenders in an encounter. Police said that the accused had managed to escape after killing a person Farhan and made hostage his two companions Shahbaz and Zeshan.

The police of concerned police station raided to arrest the criminals, on seeing police, they opened fire at them, the policemen also retaliated.            As a result the three criminals identified as Ghulam Mustafa, Khalil and Sajjad died on the spot. The police recovered a rifle, a gun, a pistol and two hand grenades from them.
