IGP for beefing up security of worship places across Sindh

KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari has called for beefing up the security of shrines, Dargahs, Mosques, Imambargahs and seminaries in the province.

A police statement here on Wednesday  said he directed that the security arrangements for these be made more effective.

Leghari also instructed that plain- clothed policemen be also deployed and that a vigilant eye be kept on the activities of the suspects.

He further directed that the security of worship places of the minorities be also enhanced in consultation with their managements and people of the area.
