Zardari vows to stay in Karachi and monitor political situation

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is ready to face “any situation”, and is extending his stay in Karachi from where he would keep a pulse of the political occurrences within the whole country, his spokesperson said. Zardari also emphasized that general elections would be held on time.

Denying reports of Zardari fleeing to Dubai as to evade the uncertain political situation in the country, his spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said the president has reiterated government’s resolve that elections will be held on time and not be delayed in any case.
