The protestors of Bara tribe began their protest outside the Press club Peshawar following the sit-in outside governor house for second consecutive day.
Meanwhile, Police used water cannons and tear gas to disperse the protesters once again as shown in the television footage.
Wednesday’s display of the 15 bodies, which were wrapped in blankets, recalled a protest last week in the southwestern city of Quetta.
The dead bodies were loaded onto trucks after the protesters dispersed and handed over to Khyber political authorities to be returned to their families.
Late Wednesday, The peaceful sit-in of tribesmen against the killing of 18 people in Tehsil Bara, Khyber Agency turned violent, when a private guard of a member of federal minister Hamidullah Jan (FATA’s elected MNA) indiscriminately opened fire at the protesters, leaving a man injured.
The protestors got dispersed as a result, while the dead bodies were transferred to a domestic morgue, which are expected to be returned to their bereaved families at an earliest today.
