ISLAMABAD: Sikandar Jatoi, father of main offender in Shahzeb Khan murder case Shahrukh Jatoi has been sent on physical remand till January 16, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) declared in Karachi on Friday.
Sikandar’s advocate Manzoor Ansari insisted the court that Mr Sikandar physically is unqualified for remand due to his diabetic and heart ailments.
However, the court discounted the advocate’s assertion as health facilities will be provided to the convict’s father.
Mr Sikandar did appear at the Supreme Court, from where he was taken into custody after one day protective bail from Lahore High Court.
Shahrukh Jatoi son of Sikandar Jatoi had escaped to UAE despite being in Pakistan’s Exit Control list. Furthermore, Pakistani police couldn’t apprehend the suspect despite sending forces to arrest him outside country.
Siraj Talpur, Sajjad Talpur and Ghulam Murtaza Lashari the additional alleged convicts of Shahzeb’s murder case are already under police arrest.
