Shahzeb case: Father demands re-evaluation of Shahrukh’s age

KARACHI: Father of Shahzeb Khan, DSP Aurangzeb Khan said he will press demand with Supreme court to formulate a medical board to re-evaluate Shahrukh Jatoi’s actual age, reported Aaj news.

During a press conference outside the Anti-terrorism court, he said despite facing pressure of being a government officer, he will not give up the case. Earlier, he has been denied the allegations of a deal between him and the culprits’ family for withdrawing cases in exchange of Rs 250 Million.

Responding to a question, Khan said if the accused was determined under age then how did he managed to travel abroad without a valid NIC or passport??

Shahrukh Jatoi, the prime accused in the murder of 20-years old Shahzeb Khan has declared under-18 in a medical report.

Having uncertainties, the lawyer of Shahzeb told media that the surgeon prepared the age verification report was ineligible for the purpose.

As the case proceeding began today, jatoi and the other accused were brought before the court.

Meanwhile, Investigation office filed an application for seeking 10 more days to submit the challan, so given the respite the hearing was adjourned till February 10.

Initially, Shahrukh was presented before an anti-terrorism court on January 17 after he surrendered himself to the Karachi police in Dubai, while Siraj, along with his brother Sajjad Talpur and cook Ghulam Murtaza, was arrested from rural Sindh.

The 20-years old Shahzeb was shot dead on December 24, 2012, when he allegedly had a dispute with Shahrukh Jatoi and his fellows at Khayaban-e-Bahria, Defence.
