Security fears: Altaf files petition to get immunity on Jan 7


KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussian has filed a petition in Supreme Court Karachi registry to get an immunity from appearing in court on January 7 in contempt of court case against him.

The petition was filed by his counsel Kazi Khalid Ali Advocate and Barrister Farogh Naseem.

The statement of filed petition has referred some security fears due to which Hussain could not appear before the court therefore required immunity from SC.

Altah Hussain was issued a contempt of Court notice for his defamatory speech againt the court, regarding Karachi Law and order case.

As per the details the apex court has summoned him personally on January 7 and also directed to produce the record of his speech from PEMRA, telecast on December 2.
