President felicitates nation on Eid Milad-un-Nabi

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that as Muslims, it is our responsibility to promote the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in true spirit and inculcate these in our practical lives.
In his message to the nation on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) on Friday, the President said at present, the world needs the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) more than ever.
It is our religious obligation which will provide us the real happiness in this world and hereafter, he added.
He felicitated all the Muslims on the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
He said the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi not only provides us the opportunity to celebrate the day with mutual affinity and love, but also draws attention towards enlightening our days and nights with the glowing teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
He said the entire humanity was earlier engulfed by the darkness of ignorance and was struck by enmity and conflict. But with the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), not only the land of Arab but the whole universe witnessed a revolution, he said.
The President said that the message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his own Seerat is a source of blessing for the humanity.
He mentioned that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s personality linked the Muslim Ummah together with a strong bond and added that this was the blessing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who as a savior helped the helpless to emerge as a force.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to guide all to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
