Findings of Kamran Faisal case to be made public: Kaira


ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday assured that all the findings of the NAB investigator Kamran Faisal case would be made public without concealing anything.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, he said, “Judicial Commission had already been constituted by the government headed by a senior retired judge and given two weeks to submit the report.” Kaira said in the presence of independent media and judiciary nothing could be concealed.

The Minister said if there was any evidence regarding Kamran Faisal, it should be shared with the commission.He said a medical board had also been constituted by the government to carry out autopsy and examine medical reports of the deceased to remove any misunderstandings being created by some elements soon after his death.

Kaira said by killing of investigation officers, investigation of a case could not be manipulated; however, speculations should be avoided on sensitive issues.

To a question, he said, negotiation had been initiated with Tahir-ul-Qadri according to the Constitution and the government had accepted all of his constitutional demands.

To a question, he said, imposing of governor rule in Balochistan was not an easy decision for the federal government, but it had been done for masses welfare.
He said it was the demand of deprived families in Balochistan sitting in opem for the last several days under freezing weatherconditions, demanding the removal of provincial government as it had failed to arrest the culprits involved in the killing of innocent people.

To a question, he said, targeted operation could be initiated in any part of the country to eliminate militancy.
Regarding caretaker government, he said negotiation will be initiated soon with political parties in the parliament and outside it.

He said opposition had not shared any name for the caretaker with the government, however there were reports that opposition had started consultation with various political parties.

To a question about creation of new provinces, he said a commission had been constituted under the chairmanship of Senator Farhatullah Babar.
He said South Punjab province would be created according to wishes of the people.
