Faisal’s death investigation: NAB calls off weekly holidays

ISLAMABAD: In order to compile the investigation report over the death case of Kamran Faisal, NAB has called off the weekly holidays of Saturday and Sunday (January 26-27).

The National Accountability Bureau has issued a notification to its employees in this regard.

The investigation regarding the suspicious death of NAB investigation officer Kamran Faisal has began in full momentum, after being delayed for five days.

Today sources said that the investigation team has got CCTV footage from NAB’s regional office.

All the evidences and reports will be presented before the Supreme court on January 28 (Monday) as per the orders of the court.

The Supreme court has also taken a sou moto action over the death of Kamran Faisal.

Kamran Faisal, who was investigating the Rs22 billion RPP scam, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his official residence in Federal Lodges, Islamabad, on Jan 18. His death came three days after the Supreme Court ordered the arrest of Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and 15 others in connection with the scam.

‘Police submitted primary investigation report in SC’

The police submitted its preliminary report on the death of Kamran Faisal in Supreme court.

A record of calls made to and from Faisal’s mobile phone and a post mortem report were also attached to the police report.
