51 killed, 116 injured in Quetta twin blasts

QUETTA: Twin blasts in Quetta killed 47 while several others have been injured in here on Thursday night, Aaj news reported.

Police sources told that first bomb blast took place in a snooker club on Alamdar road that injured few people. Soon after the first explosion, another bomb exploded on the same road.

Thirteen cars, including FC vehicles, were also damaged in the blast.

There are also reports of injuring of media persons belonging to private TV channels who were present to shoot the footages of a bomb blast that took place at Mizan Chowk at day time in which about 11 people were killed and over 40 injured. The DSNGs of private TV channels were also damaged in the blasts.

The law enforcement and rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the victims to hospital.

The blasts caused suspension of electricity supply after they might have damaged the electricity pylons.
