2nd ODI: Pakistan beat India by 85 runs, lead series 2-0


The Indian cricket team started off the year with another loss, loosing to Pakistan in the second ODI between the two sides on Thursday.

India, winning the toss put Pakistan in to bat in trying conditions, managed to restrict the total to 250 after a great start by Pakistan, largely thanks to a superlative century from Nasir Jamshed, who also scored a century in the first ODI.

Nasir Jamshed (106) and Muhammed Hafeez(74) were the top scorers for Pakistan. Pakistan took off with a great start with a first wicket partnership of 141 runs. They started to loose wickets soon after and India managed to restrict Pakistan to 250 after taking all their wickets in 48.3 overs.

The first powerplay went well for India but then the wickets soon started to tremble making it an excellent performance from a Pakistan side boasting of many youngsters.

Saeed Ajmal awed the crowd by storm when he took three wickets in one hour and the crowd witnessed the agony of the boys in green. He ended with figures of 20/3 in 10 overs.

Dhoni looked surprized and helpless as wickets kept trembling for the Indian side. Dhoni remained the top scorer for India with an unbeaten 54.
