Transport, Petrol, CNG stations to remain closed on Friday

KARACHI: All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNG) , All Pakistan Transport owners federation and Petrol dealers association announced a nation wide strike tomorrow (Friday) on the day of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Aaj news reported.

Chairman APCNG Ghayas Paracha said that, to mark the day of Ishaq e Rasool (SAWW) all the CNG stations will remain shut in Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Paktunkhwa.

Karachi transporter’ Ittehad support the call and declared a complete strike.

Meanwhile, Punjab Bus owners also announced to shut all the transport across the province.

Some sources also quoted as saying that, Chairman Paracha also demanded the government to take back to recent hike in CNG prices, as its causing huge losses to the industries.

He said, Industry is paying Rs70 million per day on account of gas infrastructure development cess. While this industry was using 9.1% of gas, but due to load-shedding the consumption has come down to 6.8%, he added.
