Heroin smuggling plot foiled as drugs weighing 25kg recovered from airport

ISLAMABAD: Heroin weighing 25 kg was recovered from a UK bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight by the Anti Narcotics Force on Saturday. The Heroin was recovered from the cargo hold of the PIA aircraft.

According to the ANF officials at the Benazir Bhutto International airport, household items were being sent to UK which included several items such as crockery and other utensils. The items also had 25 kg heroin which according to the ANF officials was worth thousands of dollars within the international market.

The ANF have confiscated the notorious substance and have arrested 2 individuals involved within the smuggling plot. Further investigation have also been initiated following the arrest.
