The preparations have been finalised to observe the 33rd death anniversary of the founder of Pakistan People’s Party Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Wednesday with reverence and solemnity.
Addressing a press conference, Parliamentary Secretary for Cabinet, Establishment Division, Member National Assembly Farhat Khan said various caravans from across the country have already left for Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to pay tributes to their martyred leader Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
Various functions has been organized to pay rich tributes to ZA Bhutto with the renewed pledge to continue Bhutto’s mission of the progress and prosperity.
Responding to a question, she said the government was striving hard to provide relief to the people. She cited the achievements of ZA Bhutto including the initiation of land reforms, empowerment of masses, promulgation of 1973 constitution etc.
The present government is following the foot steps of their leader and took concrete steps to reduce poverty in the country, she said adding, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) was aimed at serving the poor and providing solace to them.
