Fazlullah’s ‘Death Squad’ involved in Karachi target killing: Malik

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that fugitive militant commander Maulana Fazlullah was sending terrorists from Gilgit to Karachi for targeted killing.

The minister told media on Saturday that  a group identified as Death Squad was involved in sectarian killing in Karachi and the law enforcement agencies were about to arrest the killers.

“Neither any Sunni nor Shia is involved in target killing instead a group of some people is involved,” he added.

He said that a mother of such terrorist had told the agencies that his son went to Karachi for killing fo just Rs 60,000. Malik said that action would be taken against those involved in the killing of people for money.

The minister said the Death Squad used motorbikes and Burqas (veils) while launching attacks. He requested the Sindh government to ban pillion riding in the city for a month.
