Heavy rain with gusty winds likely in Sindh: Met Office

The Met Office has forecast widespread rain/ thundershowers with heavy to very heavy falls accompanied with strong gusty winds in all districts of Sindh including Karachi and eastern parts of Pakistan from September 3 to 6.

A Monsoon alert said heavy falls may cause urban flooding in major cities with severe flooding in lower Sindh during the period.

It said a strong weather system now lies over Northeast Arabian Sea with its through affecting lower Sindh with another low pressures area having developed over Central India.

Under the influence these pressure moderate rains with isolated heavy falls are expected in Nawabshah, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Hyderabad, Dadu, Tando Muhammad Khan, Badin, Thatta, Thar, Umerkot and Karachi districts and eastern parts of Balochistan.
