Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said on Tuesday that government is committed to granting economic empowerment to women who now constituted fifty one per cent of the population of Pakistan.He said this while talking to the delegation of Women Chamber of Commerce who called on him here at the Governor House.He said Government places welfare of women and their well-being on a list of its top priorities.
Gilani said that he would constitute a committee to prepare a plan for resolving problems being faced by women entrepreneurs of Balochistan.
He said that the business women of under developed areas play a vital role in the social and economic progress of the country.
The prime minister said he would support the women of Balochistan Chamber of Commerce during the forthcoming SAARC Conference.
Earlier Balochistan Women Chamber of Commerce apprised PM Gilani of the problems being confronted by them.
