IRSA releases 215,645 cusecs water from reservoirs


The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Saturday released 215,645 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 273,526 cusecs.The water level in Tarbela and Mangla has significantly increased due to improved water flow in all major rivers.
According to the data released by IRSA here, the maximum water evel in River Indus at Tarbela was 1408.20 feet which was 30.20 feet above its dead level of 1378 feet.Water inflow was recorded as 89,600 cusecs in the dam while outflow was recorded as 60,000 cusecs.
The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1134.95 feet which is 94.95 feet above its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow was recorded as 73,281 and outflow of water in the dam was recorded as 45,000 cusecs.
