CNG station owners in Multan region called off their strike after the prime minister ordered to convene a meeting of the load management committee to discuss the issue, CNG stations association’s president Fayyaz Gilani said on Thursday.
CNG stations which had been closed since April 13 will resume operations from 5 pm Thursday, the CNG association leader told APP by phone.
The CNG association leaders have sent short messages (SMS) to owners of CNG stations in Punjab advising them to end the strike and open their stations Thursday evening. Except a few CNG stations, all others remained closed during last two days.
The CNG association was striking in protest against gas load shedding.
