Engineers and technical staff of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has completed repairing work of damaged pipelines in Shori area between Dera Murad Jamali and Sibi partially.
“Natural gas supply to provincial capital Quetta has been restored from 12-inch diameters pipeline,” Inayatullah Ismail, the SSGC media manager told APP here on Sunday that only domestic consumers were being provided gas for cooking purposes.
Under the supervision of Managing Director SSGC Dr Faizullah Abbasi, the technical teams of the organization has been working round the clock since last six days to complete the repairing work of the damaged pipelines, he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that unknown men had blown up pipelines of 18-inch and 12-inch diameters in Shori area of Eastern Balochistan which caused suspension of natural gas supply to nine districts of Balochistan including the provincial capital Quetta.
Although, gas supply to Quetta has been restored from 12-inch diameters pipelines but the consumers were receiving it in very low pressure.
“The natural gas supply in full pressure would be restored to the city after the completion of repairing of 18-inch diameters gas supplying pipelines, sources said.
