PPP-PML-N talks moving forward successfully

Federal Minister for Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh on Friday said that the issues which have been discussed so far in the meeting of Parliamentary Committee on economic reforms would be completed before the next meeting to be held on February 15.

He said that other issues would also be discussed in the coming meetings to complete the process.

Talking to media after 7th meeting of Parliamentary Committees of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) on economic reforms agenda, he said during the last meetings issues including income and expenditure of the government have been discussed in detail and the government has started implementing all the points which have been agreed between PPP and PML-N.

He informed that Governor State Bank of Pakistan has dispatched the record of loan write off through a courier service which would be presented during the next meeting of the committee.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Ishaq Dar said that during last meetings many issues were discussed. “There remains no ambiguity regarding the issues and we have been entered in the implementation phase”, he added.

He said that government has assured to implement the decisions taken in the meetings including price mechanism and accountability law and expressed the hope that the government would take immediate action for the economic reforms in the country.
