Police officer escapes blast in Quetta; 2 injured

A remote controlled bomb went off Tuesday in Quetta, injuring two police personnel.

As per details, the obvious target of the attack was DSP Shalkot Sikandar Tareen aboard the police vehicle damaged in blast at Miyan Ghundi Road, injuring two of his guards.

DSP Sikandar, however, remained safe in the ambush.

The police have cordoned off the area after the blast and a probe has been started into the incident.

The injured were shifted to the nearby hospital where the doctor say they are out of danger.
