The first Sindh Livestock, Dairy, Fisheries and Poultry Expo and horse and cattle show concluded at Karachi Expo Centre here Tuesday.
Sindh Minister for Livestock Mir Abid Jatoi presented winning trophies to the owners of beautifully decorated high breed cows, buffaloes and goats at the close of show.
An official of Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) said that according to survey of the Board, the exhibitors received orders worth Rs 400 million during two days for supply of livestock, poultry and technology from local and foreign buyers.
He said that overseas Pakistanis and locals have shown keen interest in making investment in livestock and poultry sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, the Advisor to CM on Investment Zubair Motiwala said that the exhibition provided an opportunity to all stakeholders to exchange and learn from their experiences under one roof to boost production of milk, meat and eggs.
The audience was informed that more than 50,000 visitors including traders, experts, students and citizen visited the exhibition during its two days.
As much as 54 stalls of livestock, 38 poultry, 46 dairy, 32 fisheries and 22 stalls of district government, banks and financial institutions and insurance companies showcased their products for livestock, fisheries, poultry sectors.
Secretary Investment Younus Dagha said that SBI will continue to hold exhibitions in future to provide investment opportunities to potential investors.
